The Challenge
- Desire to create more autonomous operations from the parent company.
- Existing processes and systems were complex, fragmented and difficult to scale.
- Business strategy was focused on growth, beyond the existing European operations, mostly across Asia.
Approach
- Undertook a rapid assessment of current processes and systems through three filters: ‘pain points’, ‘strategic alignment’ and ‘shared with parent’.
- Identified transformation priorities from a long list of potential improvement initiatives.
- Completed detailed design and the high priority lead-to-bill process, designing changes to the core IT systems to support this.
- Managed the build of the new system, including external specialist vendors, implementation of new processes and necessary behaviour change across key functions.
Outcome
- Launched a new Lead-to-Bill process and system in Europe and Asia working effectively with third-party vendors.
- Delivered an operating model which has increased control, enhanced efficiency and enabled better management of customers and financials.
- Created an operating model which allows the business to grow sustainably.
